Mr. Zaki received his LLM degrees from the Faculty of Law, Ain-Shams University, and is a certified cassation lawyer by the Egyptian Bar Association.
Biography
Mr. Zaki Hassan is a Cassation Court Lawyer with 25 years of legal experience defending agents in criminal and labor claims. His practice also includes representing corporate clients before the administrative
courts. Mr. Zaki also advocates on behalf of clients before Egypt’s family court system. He has represented clients in labor
disputes and reviewed employment agreements. Mr. Zaki’s strengths include developing case
strategies, writing defense memoranda, and drafting contracts. Mr. Zaki’s main areas of expertise include Labor Disputes, Commerical and Criminal Litigation, and Family Law.
Representative Experience
- Defending the director of a multi-national electrical appliances company during the appellate stage and succeeding in overturning previous guilty verdicts in customs evasion and forgery, after which the director was cleared of all charges.
- Defending an Arab businessmen against felony tax evasion charges stemming from an Arabian horse breeding farm and clearing the client of all charges.
- Defending one of the oldest Iron & Steel factories in a bankruptcy case worth approximately EGP 800 million and concluding all bankruptcy procedures, including the dismissal of the factory manager, the replacement of the bankruptcy trustee, and concluding all related labor cases.
- Pleading on behalf of the tourism management company in a compensation lawsuit against the client worth EGP 12 million and succeeding in having the case dismissed.
- Defending minor children before the Family Affairs Court and providing their legal share of EGP 170 million in the ownership of a preowned private university and the university’s real estate and liquid assets which were collectively valued by the Ministry of Justice experts at EGP one Billion.
- Preparing defense memoranda and oral arguments in custom evasion cases related to a well-known Giza hotel and obtaining an acquittal for the defendant.
