Tamer is a Partner in Hegazy and Partners law firm. Tamer joined Hegazy and Partners’ outstanding team to establish the first Corporate Compliance, Anti-Corruption Group in Egypt.
Tamer’s practice emphasizes white collar matters, internal corporate
investigations, Trade Compliance/Sanctions and compliance counseling. He
regularly represents clients in FCPA, UKBA and corruption-related
internal investigations, designing and implementing compliance programs,
transactional anti-corruption diligence and responding to and defending
against government investigations.
Tamer’s practice also includes advising on Oil and Gas contract
negotiation, commitments and conclusion, full range of supply chain
contracts, International petroleum tendering regimes, cross-border
transactions, commercial disputes, company’s corporate governance
structure and policies, board and committee function and process and
related topics.
Prior to joining Hegazy, Tamer had more than 15 years’ in-house
experience as a senior legal and compliance counsel. Tamer’s experience
spans across the US, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Tamer is a frequent speaker on various issues related to
anti-corruption, corporate compliance, money laundering and white-collar
crime programs and conferences. He also taught corporate compliance as a
visiting instructor at Schlumberger Middle East Learning Center in Abu
Dhabi and provided various legal and compliance training across the
globe.
