Biography
Dr. Walid Hegazy has over 26 years of legal experience representing and advising clients on transactions and disputes involving the commercial laws and regulations of many Middle East countries, including Egypt, UAE, KSA, Qatar, and Libya. His expertise includes Islamic banking and finance, project financing, corporate restructuring, and corporate governance.

- Advised BNP Paribas on €7.2B financing of Lafarge-Orascom merger.

- Structured $1B sukuk issue for Sorouh in UAE.
- Developed hawala-based securitization structure for Credit Suisse in KSA.
- Advised on various Shari’ah-compliant Murabaha and Musharaka facilities.
